This trek passes through Newari villages and rich farmland with plenty of opportunity for cultural interaction.
Our route follows ridges covered in oak and tree high rhododendrons to Shivapuri (2563m), a particularly beautiful walk in springtime, that affords extensive views over the Kathmandu Valley. We continue to the hilltop settlement of Nagarkot with its panoramic views that stretch as far as the Annapurna Massif and Ganesh Himal. Our last night on trek ends with a glorious sunset view over the Himalaya before descending the next day to the temple at Changu Narayan. We return to Kathmandu via the fascinating medieval city of Bhaktapur.
